Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Ander Herrera has reportedly claimed that he would only return to Manchester United if he was to play in England amid interest from Tottenham.
Reports have linked Spurs’ midfielder Tanguy Ndombele to PSG, who are looking to add more fresh legs in the midfield.
Whilst the Parisians were in talks with Tottenham over a move for the former Lyon midfielder, Ander Herrera’s name was mentioned in a swap deal that would see Ndombele move to PSG and Herrera to Spurs.
The report maintains that the ex-Manchester United star is happy at Parc des Princes and would only consider returning back to England if Man United came knocking.
What was reported
“PSG’s Ander Herrera was mentioned as a name in contention for swap deal with Tanguy Ndombele at Tottenham but he’s happy at PSG and I’m told that he would only want to play for Manchester United in England,” according to The Athletic Football Podcast.
