Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick has revealed how his squad is shaping ahead of their crucial clash against Crystal Palace this weekend in the Premier League.
Rangnick has confirmed that the likes of Jadon Sancho and Phil Jones are doubts ahead of the clash at Selhurst Park after the duo withdrew from Friday’s training session.
The German also identified Luke Shaw as a doubt because the England international’s wife put to birth to their second child this week.
In the case of the FA Youth Cup hero, Alejandro Garnacho, the youngster might miss the clash through illness, confirmed Rangnick.

“Unfortunately Alejandro [Garnacho] was ill in the last couple of days,” Rangnick said on Friday ahead of the clash on Sunday afternoon. “He might well be in the squad, but I don’t know if he’s physically able to play after this illness.
“Luke Shaw’s wife gave birth to their second baby today, and he was supposed to be back for training tomorrow but apparently he isn’t, so we will have to wait and see if he would at least be available for the bench on Sunday.
“In the session today we had one or two players leaving the training session a little earlier, they just couldn’t finish the session because they had problems — that was Jadon [Sancho] and Phil Jones. We need to wait until after the session tomorrow.”
Manchester United MUST beat Crystal Palace on Sunday to ensure their fate of securing a place in the Europa League next season remains in their hands.
