Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has condemned Eric Bailly’s social media activity after the defender begged to get more playing time.
Bailly last featured for Man United in December despite being fit and available for the majority of the last four months.
Rangnick has preferred Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane, and Victor Lindelof ahead of the Ivorian defender.
But yet, that hasn’t stopped Manchester United from making several howlers at the back.
In the midweek, the German tactician raised many eyebrows when he snubbed the former Villarreal defender to favour Phil Jones alongside Maguire and Lindelof against Liverpool.
Liverpool scored four goals past Manchester United, with Maguire making two errors that led to the home side’s first and last goal.
Ahead of Saturday’s lunchtime and top-four clash against Arsenal, a fan urged Man United to pair Bailly and Varane against The Gunners and Bailly responded.
Bailly replied: ‘Please…‘
And Ralf Rangnick has condemned Bailly’s action, insisting that such behavior is not acceptable at the club.
Rangnick on Eric Bailly asking to play more on Instagram: “If it’s true what you told me that should not happen in a football club, no matter in which league.”
Reports emerged this week that the former RB Leipzig manager was thinking about dropping Maguire against Arenal.
Following Bailly’s social activity, it is now obvious that Rangnick would look to pair Varane and Lindelof at the back, if the reports about dropping Harry Maguire is true.
