Manchester United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has confirmed that the club would need between six and ten players before the rebuild will be completed.

Man United got exposed yet again after losing massively 5-0 to Liverpool at Anfield on Tuesday night.

United are expected to splash the cash in the summer in a bid to catch up with the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.

And the rebuild will start in the summer, with Erik ten Hag as the new manager. Ralf Rangnick, who will become a consultant after his interim job ends in the summer, says United will need about ten players to complete the rebuild.

Speaking after the Liverpool defeat, the German tactician told Sky: “There could be six, seven, eight, maybe ten new players.

“There will be a rebuild for sure, that was obvious in the first three or four weeks for me.

“When Jurgen Klopp came they [Liverpool] changed at the club and lifted not just the team but the club and city to a new level. That is what needs to happen with us in the next transfer windows.”
