Roy Keane has admitted again that Harry Maguire is not good enough to play for Manchester United after Liverpool’s resounding defeat.
Maguire endured yet another drastic performance after playing a role in two of Liverpool’s four goals at least.
The England international attempted to close in on Sadio Mane, who was a few inches away from Paul Pogba in the midfield, but in the process, left United’s backline too easy to break down.
Mane beats Maguire with a decent pass to Mo Salah, who would waste no time to square it to Luis Diaz in the far end of the post and the Brazilian made no mistake.
Late in the game, he gave away a sloppy pass to teenager Hannibal Mejbri, who was inside United’s own half, but the youngster lost possession of the ball as a result and Liverpool pressed forward and Salah scored, despite Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s emergency.
Roy Keane questions Maguire’s decision to make such a pass to Mejbri and admits the former Leicester City star isn’t good enough to don United’s jersey.
“We were trying to do it before the match, give him a little bit of PR. The last goal… Maguire‘s passing and his defending.
“It’s not acceptable. Not good enough for Manchester United.”
