Roy Keane says two Tottenham players would make Manchester United starting lineup

Former Ireland international Roy Keane has suggested that Harry Kane and Heung-min Son would make their way into Manchester United’s starting lineup.

Man United bounced back to winning ways against Spurs after they emerged victorious in a five-goal thriller at Old Trafford.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick while Tottenham needed a penalty goal from Harry Kane and an own goal from Harry Maguire to give their fans something to hold on to.

Both Heung-min Son and Kane started for Spurs on Saturday evening but were relatively inactive, which gave United an edge over Antonio Conte’s men.

The former Manchester United captain was full of praise for the Spurs duo in the build-up to the match and warned The Red Devils that the attacking pair would stand as the biggest threat.

On Kane, Keane told Sky Sports: “What can we say? He’s a brilliant player, a huge player, slow out the blocks, he was supposed to leave, obviously supposed to leave but he’s bounced back.

“He’ll be coming back today, you can see with his stats [his quality], we saw how good he was against Man City. Kane and Son would walk into this Manchester United team, that’s the big threat.

“You can identify the threat but not many teams have stopped it and that’s the sign of a brilliant player because he turns up and does it.

“United will have to be on their guard because if you give him a chance it’ll be in the back of the net.”
