The big save that hands David de Gea MOTM award after Norwich win

David de Gea was named as the Man of the match by Sky Sports after Manchester United’s tight win over Norwich City.

Man United fetched out a narrow 1-0 win over Norwich at Carrow Road to mark their third Premier League win in a row.

Though Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal from the penalty spot made the difference, it was de Gea, who made the headlines, thanks to his resounding performance.

The Spaniard was forced to make five saves to deny Norwich any chance of staging a comeback.

De Gea made five saves at Carrow Road but his full-stretch save against Pukki’s left-footed strike was noteworthy, even the Norwich star couldn’t believe David de Gea’s effort.

The Man United goalie would go on to make some fine saves to ensure he returned back to Old Trafford with a well-deserved clean sheet.

After the match, De Gea said he feels ‘very good’ and ‘very confident’ but says helping the team win games is more important than his individual accolades.

“I was feeling very good, I was enjoying the game, I was focussed, I knew I had to make a couple of saves so I made them and helped the team win the game. Every save is important – especially when the team wins,” said de Gea.

“I’m feeling very good, very strong, very confident. The most important thing is helping the team with my experience.”
