Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has warned his critics that he’s ‘not finished’ after impressing against Brentford.
Ronaldo put out yet another resounding performance tonight against The Bees and capped it off with a goal from the penalty spot.
Ronaldo thought he had doubled United’s lead after he superbly got on the end of Juan Mata’s through ball but his goal was ruled out for offside.
Despite not scoring in the first half, Ronaldo’s contribution without the ball didn’t get unnoticed.
He continued where he left off in the second half and hot a well-deserved goal from the penalty spot.
Manchester United are still expected to finish outside the top-four this season and a lot has been said about Ronaldo’s future at Old Trafford.
A few reports claimed that the 37-year-old could make a sensational return to Real Madrid in the summer while a few other outlets claimed that the Portuguese star could head to Bayern Munich to replace Robert Lewandowski, who’s a target for Barcelona.
Several pundits including Wayne Rooney thinks Manchester United need to get rid of Ronaldo as he thought his former team-mates doesn’t do much for the team, with others claiming he’s finished.
But after tonight’s performance, the Portugal international warned again that’s he’s not finished.
“I’m not finished,” Cristiano Ronaldo told @daraghs0 via Twitter.
Whether the Portuguese icon was telling his next suitors or taking a dig at his haters, in a few months time, we’d find out if he would remain at United or not.
Ronaldo has now scored 24 goals in all competitions this season, 18 of them in the Premier League.
