Tottenham have reportedly shown interest in Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard and contact has already been made with the player’s camp.
The England international, who is struggling to get more playing time at Man United, is attracting interest from top Premier League sides.
According to the outlet’s journalist, Alasdair Gold, Tottenham have contacted Lingard’s camp over a potential move away from Old Trafford.
Gold said: “football.london understands that Spurs have also sounded out Lingard’s camp about a potential move in the summer and could explore the option of a January move.”
Lingard came in as a late substitute during Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Aston Villa on Monday night in the FA Cup.
Man United currently have the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, and Donny van de Beek, who are occupying Lingard’s preferred role.
Ralf Rangnick may not stand in his way if the 29-year-old decides to leave the club this month.
The Manchester United academy graduate spent the second half of last season on loan with West Ham United and wasted no time to hit the ground up and running.
Lingard scored nine goals and provided four assists in 16 Premier League matches under David Moyes.
