Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe appears to have done Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo’s iconic SIU celebration after scoring against Clermont.
PSG thrashed Clermont 4-0 at Parc des Princes on Saturday in the French Ligue 1 without the services of Lionel Messi and Neymar, due to their late return from international duty.
Ander Herrera, former Manchester United scored a brace in the first half to hand PSG a commanding 2-0 lead at half-time.
Ten minutes into the second half, Mbappe tripled PSG’s lead after getting the better of Clermont’s goalkeeper.
Upon scoring an empty net, the French star ran towards the left-wing and did Ronaldo‘s SIU celebration but mixed it with his regular celebration. Just the same way Jesse Lingard mixed his JLingz celebration alongside Ronaldo’s SIU after scoring against Andorra.
Several Manchester United have sarcastically reacted to Mbappe’s decision to add his own celebration immediately after doing the SIU.
It is obvious that the World Cup winner is a Cristiano Ronaldo fan and has regularly reveal that the Manchester United forward one of his footballing role models.
Mbappe was strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer but PSG refused to slash their asking price for the former Monaco forward. As a result, the transfer deal fell off.
Lionel Messi moved to PSG this summer as a free agent after Barcelona failed to hand him a new deal.
