Manchester United have already spent £74m on three players so far this summer, with Diogo Dalot, Fred and Lee Grant arriving at Old Trafford.

Upon that, Jose Mourinho regularly feels he is not impressed due to the club’s lack of transfer activity.

The United boss wants two more signings before Thursday’s 5 pm transfer deadline but feels only one transfer can be completed.

And the club’s former skipper Wayne Rooney concurs that Manchester United need two more signings in order to be crowned the champions of England ahead of Man City this summer.

“I hope someone can catch [Manchester City] – it would be nice, so hopefully Manchester United can,” said Rooney.

While a couple of Man United World Cup stars have still not reported to training, Jose Mourinho feels Leicester City could take the day but Wayne Rooney thinks otherwise.

“I am sure Jose [Mourinho] has been getting the team right,” he added.

“I know there has been a lot of talk about pre-season in the press but I am sure behind the scenes, Jose has been giving them the right amount of work.”
