Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has urged Anthony Martial to ‘shine’ at Sevilla after the forward completed his loan move to La Liga.
The Man United forward, who struggled to get playing time this season due to the club’s summer recruits, sealed a temporary move to Sevilla.
Martial will look to get more playing time in Spain after just securing only two Premier League starts this term.
It’s a chance for the 26-year-old to reignite his career after joining United from Monaco in 2015 and his close friend Fernandes has advised the striker to ‘shine’ in his new club.
What Bruno Fernandes said
‘My friend, our connection on and off the pitch was always special,’ wrote Fernandes.
‘Wish you all the best for the rest of the season! Go and shine bro @AnthonyMartial.’
What Ralf Rangnick said of Anthony Martial
“Since we last spoke one-and-a-half weeks ago, I told him it’s about being professional until the very last day no matter how long he stays or when he leaves,” Rangnick said after the West Ham victory. “It was good to have this conversation with him.
“He’s [Anthony Martial] a top player, one of the best strikers in the Premier League but we have other players in his position and it is his wish to leave but, as I said to him, it always takes different parts to find an agreement.
“The way he trained and played when he came on today showed his professionalism I expect from everybody.”
Anthony Martial last appearance for Manchester United was a second-half display against West Ham United last weekend and he contributed to United’s last-minute match-winning goal scored by Marcus Rashford.
