Several Manchester United fans were not pleased with the likes of Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw after their horrid display against Atletico Madrid.
Man United went behind in the 7th minute when Joao Felix scored the opener right in front of Maguire, who needlessly gave away the game’s first corner-kick.
Shaw wasn’t at his best tonight as he gave away some sloppy passes and failed to pose as a threat going forward.
He got himself booked before being replaced by Alex Telles in the second half. The home side scored after they utilised the chance from a corner-kick that was easily given away by Shaw.
Fans were not pleased with the England internationals and questioned why Ralf Rangnick keeps starting both defenders.

Most of the game has been in our half with Shaw and Maguire the two knuckleheads passing to each other

A fan tweeted: “We have bunch of overpaid average players. Luke Shaw and Maguire shouldn’t have worn the shirt in the first place. All our players are too fragile and weak.”
Another one said: “not a single person wants to move up the ball except Ronaldo. Luke shaw and Maguire are just terrible.”

Whitefoot tweeted: “90% of it stems from the defence. Shaw and Maguire play like we’re 3-0 up all the time. Shaw rolls every pass no fizz. Zero intensity.”
Late in the game, Manchester United scored the equaliser, thanks to a brilliant finish from Anthony Elanga, who replaced Marcus Rashford, and a sublime assist from Bruno Fernandes.
Man United were without some important players in Edinson Cavani and Scott McTominay due to a groin injury and illness respectively.
