Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo attracted special praises from the likes of Paul Pogba, Antonio Conte and Hugo Lloris after his hat-trick against Tottenham.
Man United recorded a much-needed response against Spurs, having endured an embarrassing 4-1 defeat to Manchester City last weekend.
United successfully bounced back to winning ways following their superb performance against Tottenham at Old Trafford.
Cristiano Ronaldo, who missed the Manchester derby with a hip injury, scored a hat-trick against Spurs and attracted special comments off his team-mates and the opposition manager and goalkeeper.
Speaking after the game, Pogba told BBC: “It was a beautiful game and a beautiful reaction from us. We hurt them at the right times and Ronaldo did what he does best.

“He [Ronaldo] has never been a problem. You have the best striker in history in our team, he cannot be a problem. Today the performance from him and all the team was very brilliant.
“Ronaldo was brilliant. I think that’s all we needed – a reaction. We scored beautiful goals. Even when we conceded a goal, we came back and scored again. The mentality was there again today.
>“Everybody knows Cristiano – there’s no need to talk about him. That’s what he does. He didn’t play in the last game, but he comes back and scores three goals. Everybody’s happy.”
Tottenham manager Antonio Conte hails Cristiano Ronaldo as a match decider after his hat-trick helped Manchester United collect all three points off Spurs.
“We’re talking about a player who not only tonight showed he is a top, top player,” Conte said after the game.
“Cristiano Ronaldo & Lionel Messi are the two best players in the world in this era. When you play against this type of player, they’re decisive.”
Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris said: “I think [Cristiano Ronaldo] was at his best, very aggressive in the box. It’s difficult to control him, but when you concede set pieces you need to look for that.”
