What Thomas Tuchel said when asked about Manchester United speculation

Thomas Tuchel said he is happy and committed at Chelsea when asked about the Manchester United speculation of recent.

Reports emerged this week at Tuchel is one of the leading candidates to become Man United’s permanent manager ahead of next season.

Like the Chelsea boss, who has been a revelation since joining The Blues last year, Erik ten Hag and Mauricio Pochettino have been linked with a managerial move to Old Trafford, to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who got sacked last year.

Ralf Rangnick is currently managing the club on a temporary basis and his performance has been a rollercoaster, hence why he isn’t one of the top favourites for the job.

Addressing the mounting speculation speaking ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup tie against Middlesbrough, Tuchel said: “Do you feel me less committed to the club in my situation? Absolutely not. I love to be here and work for Chelsea.

“Chelsea has everything it needs to make me happy.”

Elsewhere, MEN report that Ajax manager Erik ten Hag is the leading candidate to become Manchester United’s next manager.

The Dutchman is keen on dumping Ajax in the summer, something he admitted to last season.
